Unclear messaging

This backlit street poster is pretty cool. I really like th ediagrammatic aspects of it, as well as the suprised sewer rat. I especially like it because you can't really tell if it is telling you not to throw cigarette butts in the drain or not.

This is the back wall of the venue where i played last night. This show was another installment of the "Pencil Party" events we had in Portland at my old house. Kinya and Koshiro and a few others brought a ton of markers, magazines to cut up, tape, glue, scissors, markers, and paper to create a ton of great artwork!

these maps have helped define the aesthetics of a wave of current graphic designers.see http://www.designersrepublic.com for examples. since these folks started mining these visual resources, innumerable copycats have taken to creating work with a similar aesthetic, not knowing the original inspiration.
