While we were in Kyoto, Mom, Dad, Ev and I stopped to get some coffee and lo and behold, who was sitting next to us other than Asa, the guitarist from Lungfish. I introduced myself as a rabid fan of the band and he told me that they were playin down the street that very night, which was pretty amazing considering that they've been my favorite band for a decade-plus and I had no idea that they were in the midst of a Japanese tour. Asa offered put me on the list for their show that night, which was really nice, and the fam let me slip away to the rock club solo that night. The show was amazing. Only a handful of people of there- it was like having my own personal concert by my favorite band. Just awesome. The sound system was awesome at this tiny club- the vocals were super-clear and all of the instrumentation was very crisp. This show was one of the best I've ever been to. Just great!
